Art, Friends, & Tacos on October 1, 2022 at The Pattern Shop Studio
We are kicking off the fall with a good ol’-fashioned house party. Come browse the Pattern Shop Studio gallery/home and drool over artist Sharon Brown’s figurative mastery while Rex Brown, the storyteller of the house, regales you with tales, tidbits, and jokes that are sure to entertain and inspire.
In addition to jaw-dropping art, there will be live local music, tasty tacos from Moya’s Tacos available for purchase, and of course, sips. We might be biased, but this sounds like the perfect way to start your October. RSVP here!
“The Oils of Summer” Opens on August 6th at The Pattern Shop Studio.
My new exhibit at The Pattern Shop Studio celebrates the long-awaited arrival of summer with a large diptych called “Summer” (of course) and 25 oil paintings related to the season. In addition, many of the watercolors in my previous exhibit, “Then,” will be on display upstairs. The gallery is open from 6 pm to 9 pm on Friday, August 6th, and by appointment (303-297-9831) any time that is convenient for you. Because of the new CDC guidelines, vaccinated visitors need not necessarily wear masks unless they want to, but unvaccinated visitors must Mask Up. Group exhibition at the Arvada Center for Arts and Humanities in 2012 featuring paintings from Sharon’s The Creators series. Collin Parson, show curator, hung stunning work by 36 nationally respected artists on three floors. 33 of Sharon’s paintings of Denver artists were displayed on the Main Floor.

The Creators Billboard
In December 2010, four of Sharon Brown’s “Creators” paintings were selected for a gigantic billboard on 14th and Champa streets celebrating Colorado arts and artists. The billboard was curated by the Denver Theater District Art Salon, which also hosted a December 13th party at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, at which Sharon was the featured speaker.
