Four Brown Paintings Selected for Giant Billboard in Denver Theater District

In December 2010, four of Sharon Brown's "Creators" paintings were selected for a gigantic billboard on 14th and Champa streets celebrating Colorado arts and artists.  The billboard was curated by the Denver Theater District Art Salon, which also hosted a December 13th party at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, at which Sharon was the featured speaker.

Brown Chosen for Colorado Council on the Arts and Denver International Airport Metro Denver Creative Capitol Exhibition

Two of Sharon Brown's "Creators" paintings were selected to hang in the Denver International Airport from November 2010 to March 2011.  In March, they move to the State Capitol, where they will hang through June 2011.

Brown's Creators Continue at Sellars Project Space

Sellars Project Space will be hosting the continuation of Brown's Creators series. This exhibition is an homage to Sharon's peers, a comment on the tradition of portraiture and a tour de force of black and white oil painting.

An opening reception will be held for the artist during the First Friday Art Walk from 6 - 9 p.m.

This exhibition continues through June 30, 2010.

Sharon Brown wins Juror's Award at Ice Cube Gallery's "Icebreaker" show!

Juror Michael Paglia, art critic for Westword magazine, selected Sharon Brown's three powerful black and white oil paintings of RiNo artists for his Juror's Award at the Ice Cube Gallery's "Icebreaker" show, running until February 20th at the Dry Ice Factory on 3320 Walnut Street. The show, which Paglia said was difficult to jury because of the high quality of over 140 entries, features 70 exquisite works of art by artists in, or associated with, the River North Arts District.  Don't miss this impressive group show, open Fridays 6-10 and Saturdays 12-5.

Brown at Ice Cube Gallery

Sharon Bond Brown will be exhibiting 3 paintings from her Creators series in the juried exhibition at the Dry Ice Factory's new gallery, the Ice Cube Gallery.
